Really good, reliable product

Michael M., Newegg
12 March 2015
  • Summary: Would definitely buy this again for the performance it has given me. Does a great job of keeping the processor cool, just make sure to measure it out because it might not fit in some cases. It sits out pretty far.
  • Pros: Bought this back in 2010, still going like a champ. Keeps my processor at a nice low temperature and can adjust the speed easily with speedfan.
  • Cons: Pretty loud and you have to be really careful when doing the thermal paste if you're using your own stuff instead of the pad. Make sure to get it in the grooves of the two bars going from the processor to the heatsink.

Ben S., Newegg
30 June 2014
  • Summary: Overall highly recommended and decently priced CPU Cooler
  • Pros: Cooler works great and keeps computer at low temp
  • Cons: Mini Cons- Kinda hard to get the hang of the install at first because a lot of pressure is required and there are no very well written guides online Thermal Paste sucked but I had artic anyway so it wasn't a problem

Fantastic value

Michael C., Newegg
30 March 2014
  • Summary: Bought this to replace the faulty stock heatsink on my Vishera FX-8320. Went from 76c idle to 26c. Cannot complain. If you bought an AM3 cpu, do not use stock cooling. Use this.
  • Pros: Very capable unit, quiet fan that keeps my CPU more than adequately cool. 50c under heavy load is nothing to sneeze at for a $20 heatsink.
  • Cons: Poor installation guide.

AM3+ Mobo

Angelo P., Newegg
20 March 2014
  • Summary: When I first opened the cooler and took a glance at the manual that comes with it, I noticed that no instructions for AM3+ are included. I took a look at the cooler and quickly realized no instructions were needed.
  • Pros: Incredibly easy installation on AM3+ Installation time 1-2mins Will be very easy to clean when needed Upgrade stock AMD cooler noticing my cpu now idles at 14 celcius never goes over 50 at max load keeping my cpu 20-25% cooler than my temperatures with the stock cooler Allows me to run a much hig...
  • Cons: No Instructions for AM3+ boards

Win!

John H., Newegg
16 March 2014
  • Summary: The cooler master hyper series never fails to satisfy.
  • Pros: I put this on a build i did for someone on a budget about 4 years ago. It was cooling an Athlon x2 5200+ on the AM2 socket. Cool temps and no noise. The client was very happy, and still is to this day to the best of my knowledge.
  • Cons: It got here fast, but not instantly. I can't really knock an egg off for that though, can I?

fantastic cpu cooler

Joan A., Newegg
27 February 2014
  • Summary: i'd reccomend this cooler to anyone with an am3 socket that's tired of screwing around with cpu temperatures. far too long have i endured my cpu shutting off from high temps and honestly i only wish i would've purchased this thing sooner.
  • Pros: an absolutely wonderful piece of equipment! dropped my pc temps a ton. went from 119c high load (shutting off after 3 mins) down to 55~60c under load. big difference!
  • Cons: instruction manual was not for the product, difficult to install but overall easy to figure out of you put ur mind to it for a little bit.
