Excerpt: AS5 had a good long run but its no longer anywhere near the best mainstream thermal paste available. That crown is held by Masscool Shin-Etsu, Tunic TX2 or TX3, or Arctic Cooling MX2. All are either cheaper and perform better or the same price and perform better.<br />However AS5 is still a reliable and decent paste if you are in a bind.
Arctic Silver 5 is the most popular thermal grease

Summary: I'm taking 2 stars off for the unneeded cleaning solutions. I assume most people have alcohol around the house. You still need q-tips and coffee filter or lens wipes. You can't really go wrong with Arctic Silver 5. It is easy to apply being a thinner paste than many others and It does the job creating a good method of heat conduction between heat sink and CPU or GPU. The manufacturer claims a reduction of about 5c but this varies wildly.
Summary: After opening and trying to use noting came out. It was plugged with a big chunk of something. After clearing the clog I found that half the paste was solidified and formed the clog. Still enough to use but what a waste & a pain.
Summary: We used this on our PS3 after it overheated and then developed the 'yellow light of death' (YLOD). The compound does what it is intended to do but the price was a little much for so little. I was expecting much more. (about the size of a pinky finger) Still, I would recommend this if you're having overheating issues. Also, fyi - if your PS3 is a victim of the YLOD, your PS3 will need to be reballed professionally for a more permanent fix.
Summary: Arctic Silver 5 is one of THE names in thermal compound for mounting heatsinks. Not made clear in the description of this product, however, is that you're paying somewhat of a premium price for a tiny bottle of xylene cleaner (e.g., Goo Gone) and a tiny bottle of isopropyl alcohol. If you happen to have those items lying around in your cleaning arsenal, there's not much value added by this kit.
Excerpt: Fits on a CPU. Did not see the dramatic cooling deltas that I would count on for some thing as pricey. Had superior thermal condution from the stock compund that came with the CPU fan. Sets up like epoxy, no need to have for a ZIF socket, pulled the chip correct out cemented to the cooler although removing it. Some swear by it, other people dont. Dont think I would use once more.
Excerpt: Didn't reduce my temps at all than intel 980x stock thermal paste So dissapointed with shipping this tube was ั So not impressed i was expecting five degrees cesius but nope operating similar temps with a v10 Explained$$ for no lower in temps
Excerpt: Great efficient TIM Careful, Warning, Can short your chips, do NOT let this to spil out the sides, do NOT more than apply, was warned by numerous mfg to not even use, but if your cautious and dont place to significantly so that it doesnt spill you really should be in great shape!
Excerpt: It keeps my CPU from setting fire. Superior for rebuilding PCs. It did not lower my CPU temp, it raised it 1C. I utilised CPUID to measure my method temp immediately after running windows defender and then sitting idle with stock AMD paste that came on heatsink. It measured 44C typical and 51C playing Crysis for 10min at the end of the 8 hour run.Installed a new 120mm fan on the rear of the case (It had been broken for the stock AMD paste test) and removed and cleaned...
Summary: La calidad de la pasta creo que está fuera de discusión, con limpiar la anterior y aplicar esta ya se nota un descenso de temperatura, mi queja es que la cantidad que trae en muy poca. El tubo es enano.
