Well Worth The Money!

  • Pros: When compared to stock thermal compound that came with my AMD FX-8350 temperatures went from 55-56C to 51-52C, actually quiet surprising!

Great price for Arctic Cooling MX-4.

  • Summary: MX-4 all the way. Arctic Silver 5 is just all over the place IMO.
  • Pros: I've been using MX-4 for years. I personally prefer it over Arctic Silver 5 because of the consistency of the paste when applying and removing. Arctic Silver 5 is a bit more messy to clean up when wiping. I used the old ARCTIC COOLING brand MX-4 for years and compared to this newer one, the newer...

Great product, easy to use, much left

Samuel M., Newegg
17 March 2016
  • Summary: I purchased this product based on a review by tomshardware.com. This website has served me VERY WELL so far and all the advice I have received has been extremely helpful. I gave this product 5/5 eggs because it works as advertised, possibly better, and I believe I could recoat my CPU at least 3 more...
  • Pros: I upgraded both my CPU cooler and thermal paste. This paste has helped reduce my CPU temps from 60 degrees Celsius when gaming to the maximum of 40 degrees Celsius.
  • Cons: None, just open the package the entire way before pulling the tube out.

The best

Jonathan S., Newegg
24 February 2016
  • Summary: One thing to keep in mind is that you get a LOT of paste in this tube, so if you only plan on building 1 or 2 rigs, you can probably go with a smaller tube. Regardless of the CPU you put this on, it should hardly break a sweat while running strenuous applications (such as playing the games I listed...
  • Pros: - It works, and it works GREAT. - I have this sandwiched between an AMD FX8350 and a NZXT Kraken X61. Running games on ultra settings (read: The Division (beta), Metro Redux, Fallout 4, GTA V, The Witcher 3), my CPU stays between 35-42*C. While idling, the temp seems to bounce around a bit more i...

Good Stuff

Aaron W., Newegg
16 February 2016
  • Summary: Read a ton of reviews about thermal compounds and found this to be best for my applications. This competes directly with some of the really expensive stuff that has very careful installation procedures.
  • Pros: Good bond, transfers heat great!
  • Cons: No cons, big tube like this will last a while. Probably go bad on me after 10 years...

Quality paste

10 February 2016
  • Pros: Unlike most thermal pastes Arctic MX-4 allows for easy removal of the cpu cooler and doesn't dry out and cake up which is a must for me.
  • Cons: A bit overpriced but worth the extra $

Good stuff!

Ravi P., Newegg
9 February 2016
  • Summary: -Overall a nice product. Very good value for the quantity and performance. Cleans up easy, which is nice because it also tends to make a mess, but would highly recommend this compound.
  • Pros: -Nice applicator with a generous amount of compound -Flows easily and has a slightly lower viscosity than other thermal pastes -Got temps comparable to AS 5 -Cleans up easily -NON-CONDUCTIVE! this is important, see cons
  • Cons: -It's very stringy, after dispensing there is always a long thin string of this stuff between the applicator tip and the CPU as I pull the applicator away. I thought it was conductive and freaked out/engaged in a furious cleaning session after the string collapsed onto the MB near the CPU socket....
