follow up

Danielle S., Newegg
25 June 2014
  • Pros: Follow up to my previous review.. I emailed Arctic support and they are going to honor the warrenty by sending me a replacement at no cost. At first they wanted me to ship the fan back to them at my cost before sending a replacement... Which was silly considering it would have cost less and taken much less shipping time to purchase a new one from Neweqq.
  • Cons: Still wish the original would have lasted longer

Good Fan

Randy G., Newegg
20 June 2014
  • Summary: This fan and my ARCTIC HSF are the quietest fans on my pc. If ARCTIC's 120mm fans are this quiet I will replace my front 120mm and side 80mm fans. These are good fans for the money, more effiicent and quieter than some of the more expensive brands.
  • Pros: Moves a lot of air for it's size quiet
  • Cons: None

6 months!

Danielle S., Newegg
14 June 2014
  • Pros: Pros? Well it worked intended for 6 months.......
  • Cons: Bought in December 2013....died June 2014.... My first Arctic fan ran faithfully for several years until the bearing started squeaking and eventually seized.. Seems Arctic quality has dropped since I bought my previous fan. Don't buy in to the six year warranty! You get stuck paying the shipping bill which is MORE expensive than buying a new fan.....

Performs as Advertised

  • Pros: Our newer asus MB has PWM settings so we tossed our old fans out and ordered 2 Arctic F9's. Simple for me, even at 70. daisy chain the two and thank goodness for ASUS UEFI and just set to 100RPM. PWM is so nice. Quiet with PWM and ASUS setting.
  • Cons: i won't question the engineers. they know better than me. but, i didn't care for the hard plastic fasteners instead of metal fasteners. that said, the plastic make for no vibration noise and that's what matters.

Fast, Cool Quiet Fan

Dereck S., Newegg
26 January 2014
  • Summary: Acrtic Fans and Cooling products are great for the price and the service you receive from this product. 5 Eggs.
  • Pros: If it has Arctic on the label its a quiet and great air mover. While not very super popular with the enthusiast scene these fans are durable, practical and good looking. The speed and the quietness of this product is to be seen to be believed.
  • Cons: weird Design for this one but made for certain special Applications..

  • Pros: Good fan for the price . Using it for an exhaust fan. Seems to blow pretty good. It's fairly quiet, doesn't make that whining sound cheap fans make most of the time. Later
  • Cons: None, yet

Good PWM fan for push-pull

Daniel V., Newegg
5 December 2013
  • Summary: Took my old Xigmatek Loki from a decent cooler to a good one, allowing me to overclock my FX-8350.
  • Pros: Quiet, rated for 24/7 operation and with shared PWM, it seems to be designed with push/pull CPU cooling in mind.
  • Cons: would have preferred black to gray, but the color could be worse.

Very quiet fan

Colleen Melton, Amazon
15 October 2013
  • Summary: This fan actually replaced the OE fan on my CPU cooler. This is a HTPC setup, so quiet is more important than max cooling of a heavily worked CPU. The new fan doesn't move as much air as the original, typical of all the really quiet ones, but the computer loading isn't high either. If you need a lot of airflow, this is not the fan for you, but it is quiet...
