Conclusion: 25$ and a much smaller size compared to the other high performing cpu coolers on the market makes this cpu cooler a winner. It performs very well even though it’s not the best on the market but for the price and for the size it performs extremely well. I swapped the thermal paste that was mounted to Arctic Silver instead and that makes a small difference.
Summary: At first look, we weren't expecting a good performance from the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13, mostly because all the high-performance CPU coolers we tested so far use one or two 120-mm fans, or even 140-mm ones. With a single 92-mm fan, the Freezer 13 looks more like a value cooler.
To our surprise, the Freezer 13 performed like some good coolers with 120 mm fans, and it was not noiser than them. The price tag was in the same range, too.
Summary: We've been testing products from Arctic for over 4 years now and when it comes to cooling they know what they are doing and the Freezer 13 is no exception. While Arctic might not be known for the best performance they make up for it by making high quality coolers at a price that anyone can afford. The Freezer 13 is a great choice for anyone out there that wants to upgrade their stock cooling but doesn't want to spend a bunch doing it.
Pros: Good Performance, Excellent Value, Easy Installation, Smaller Size - Easy to Fit inside most cases
Conclusion: Conclusion [COLOR=#000000] [COLOR=#000000][COLOR=#000000][FONT=Tahoma]The Freezer13 will eventually replace the Freezer7 Rev2 as Arctic’s flagship cooler and on the evidence of these tests consumers won’t be left disappointed. The performance is on a par with the already excellent Freezer7 series and does so with a lower noise profile.
Conclusion: Over the past decades, technology has rapidly evolved. From legacy typewriters and paper to modern day keyboards and Microsoft's Office suite, the way we work has changed dramatically. This goes without saying that human attitudes towards technology have also evolved. From the typical 1990's "Can I use your old-school desktop, dad?
Summary: Now, it is important to note that the comparison Noctua costs close to twice as much as the mid $30 priced Freezer 13. When overclocked, that difference does indeed show up.
With only the single fan that goes in one direction, the Freezer 13 is highly dependent on how you position and orientate the case fans. While with a 2-fan setup in a push/pull configuration, there is simply a lot more umph to it.
So my conclusion was a little bit difficult.
Overall the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 is a small and easy to install CPU cooler. It’s hard to say whether the results that we found were accurate, since we had issues with the thermal compound on the base. While this cooler does have an easy push-pin installation, some don’t find this to be a very secure method of installing a CPU cooler. Nevertheless this cooler had sub-par cooling temperatures, but was easy to install and is compact in size.
Pros: – Easy to install, – Compact design.
Cons: – Thermal compound preapplied, came off when removing packaging, – User manual doesn’t have any text, – Subpar cooling, – Some may not like the pushpin installation
Excerpt: 1 Flares 1 Flares × Arctic Cooling have been releasing some great products lately and we have covered most of them on KitGuru – such as the excellent Accelero XTREME Plus . AC are a company who combine high performance with ease of installation at reasonable prices. Today we look at the follow to the excellent Freezer Xtreme (Rev.2) CPU Cooler – the Freezer 13 .
