Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 Pro CPU Cooler Review

12 September 2009
  • Conclusion: This cooler is a re-imagining of the standard coolers we’ve grown used to over the years. It takes classic cooler architecture and adds some unique, ingenious touches to produce a piece of hardware that is very cheap and functions better than expected. If noise is an issue for you, this is definitely a cooler that will make you happy. The fan design and rubber mountings make this thing nearly silent, even when running at full capacity under heavy load.

Arctic Cooling Alpine64 CPU Cooler

2 August 2006
  • Conclusion: We have here a CPU Cooler that cools almost as well as a liquid cooling system and is virtually silent, yes there are others that cool better but at the sacrifice of listening to the whine of a loud fan. I don’t know about you but I prefer a very quiet computer, as quiet as possible actually.

  • Conclusion: My first thoughts of the Alpine 64 were just that of a regular budget priced cooler, not much; but after testing I was a little surprised. While it may not be able to bring your CPU to new extreme speeds, it managed to keep my AMD64 quiet cool even with minor overclocking. With Arctic Coolings fan holder, it manages to do this while remaining almost completely silent.Costing one third of what many coolers on the market do today, anyone looking for a new HSF should...

Arctic Alpine 64

14 February 2011
  • Conclusion: All in all the Arctic Alpine 64 has achieved what Arctic has aimed for. The heatsink has good cooling performance while maintaining a low level of sound generated. I would mainly suggest this heatsink for anyone wanted a good cooling upgrade from their stock AMD heatsink or for that matter anyone wishing to aim for a quieter computer from a performance heatsink and fan such as the XP-90.
  • Pros: Good cooling performance, Quiet, Easy to install
  • Cons: May be too wide for some motherboards

Arctic Cooling Alpine64

28 July 2006
  • Cons: Verarbeitung, Montage
