Works great

Hon T., Newegg
11 November 2009
  • Pros: Easily installed on a Foxconn A7GM-S MB. Low noise.
  • Cons: Wire too long for CPU cooling as the 4 pin terminal is next to the CPU. 3 pin adaptor should be detachable.

Decent but lacking

Jimmy M., Newegg
26 September 2009
  • Summary: Decent for the price. Make sure you are ABSOLUTELY sure which way the airflow goes. The tiny black arrow on the side indicating it is easily missed.
  • Pros: Decent fan with very little noise. I can barely hear them running.
  • Cons: Holes for screws don't come threaded, manual wasn't in one of the boxes, and it's not a 3 pin fan. The 3 pin is for monitoring speed. Since it wasn't a three pin I had to daisy-chain two with my cpu fan. (I don't like trusting $100 cpu with two $6 fans).

Nice fans

Jason G., Newegg
23 August 2009
  • Summary: Although the included wires are pretty long, one fan was almost too far away from the fan controller in my full tower case.
  • Pros: These are the quietest fans in my case, which to my mind is quite impressive for 80mm fans. Replaced 3 fans that came with my case with these, everyone comments on how much quieter my case is now (used to sound like a jet engine...).
  • Cons: Air flow is not very high, but I was expecting that, so not really much of a con.

Cool Fan

Richard A., Newegg
11 January 2009
  • Pros: Easy intuitive install. I daisy chained two of them to a single fan header. Very quiet runningy at 50% of maximum RPM in my application. Long wire harness should reach any fan header on your MOB.
  • Cons: None

Great for AMD!

William G., Newegg
7 January 2009
  • Summary: Next upgrade - a fan with a 4 pin connector.
  • Pros: Keeps my X2 5200 at 89F at normal use. A lot quieter than the stock fan even though it does not have a 4 pin connector.
  • Cons: Massive and a little hard to get on my MSI Platinum K9A2 board. I did not remove the M/B which would of made it a lot easier.

  • Cons: the piggyback "feature" can be done away with for all i cared.

Good and quiet

Anonymous, Newegg
10 November 2008
  • Summary: Good fan, real quiet. The cost is because it's quiet.
  • Pros: It's a fan that's quiet and works. They (Arctic Cooling) even made it so you can daisy-chain the power connector with a CPU's 4 pin connector.
  • Cons: I didn't know about the daisy chain connector, and I would rather it wasn't there... Not really a bad thing, but I am picky and weird. :P

Mixed opinions, they seem to be adaquite though.

Gavin H., Newegg
13 October 2008
  • Summary: Rather happy with this setup, at least my fans spin up and slow down depending on the CPU load, which in turn makes my CPU (Q9450) up to 10C cooler when doing complex tasks, such as gaming.
  • Pros: Somewhat quiet, can be daisy chained. 6 year warranty, Arctic Cooling brand name.
  • Cons: The reason why they're so quiet is because my BIOS reports them at 300rpm!!!! So I daisy changed all 3 of them to my CPU fan (Freezer 7) and they're at 1200rpm. Shipping price, it cost me double figures to ship 3 of them to me!!

User Review

Dana T., Newegg
21 June 2008
  • Summary: I have an 80 mm on the intake and a 120 mm exhaust connected to 'sys fan.' 'Sys fan' does not report any rpm.
  • Pros: Quiet. Able to daisy chain the PWM function.
  • Cons: Doesn't report any RPM.
