Provides worse cooling than that stock Intel fan.

Alex Smith, Amazon
21 March 2016
  • Summary: Read 1 star reviews first. This cooler keep the CPU at lower temperature when idling, however very unexpectedly doesn't have the same effect on some load. The temperature with this cooler goes substantially higher comparing with the stock Intel cooler.

Use for Intel

Keith Schultz, Amazon
13 March 2016
  • Summary: If it had actually fit teh AM3\AM3+ I might have a better review - so all I can go on is it said it did and it did not, so.... poor review

I liked the design and quality of this cooler

G. Goddard, Amazon
1 January 2016
  • Summary: I liked the design and quality of this cooler, however I should have read the one star reviews prior to purchase. If you are using an AMD chip, you should not go with this cooler. As stated by others, this cannot be installed with horizontal flow thru, only vertical.

The installation instructions are utterly useless and hard to understand

ImperialxGx, Amazon
26 November 2015
  • Summary: Besides the lack of my measuring skills, this thing is top heavy and was putting alot of stress on my CPU bracket. The installation instructions are utterly useless and hard to understand.

Won't work with HP computers

Jon Wexford, Amazon
21 August 2015
  • Summary: Does not work with HPs. Beware. I have an AMD FM2 and the only way it would mount on the motherboard is with the Intel adapter!! But then the screws wouldn't fit. Crazy. Might be a Swiss company, but it's still cheaply made junk.

fundamental design flaw

Adam Morrison, Amazon
24 September 2013
  • Summary: So this fan can only be installed if you have a top exhaust in your case!!! if you are planning on having it exhaust out the back "SURPRISE" it can't install that way. It wouldn't be so bad if their own included literature didn't show it blowing out the back like ALL other CPU fans!@! CPU fan FAIL.

not meant for amd cpus

FalseLion, Amazon
3 April 2013
  • Summary: Bought this cooler to go with my new amd fx-8350. I'm getting temps of about 40c on idle and have maxed it out under stress at 61c...this is all with stock settings. The problem is this cooler only mounts with the fan blowing up or down with am3+ amd sockets...

Crud design for AMD

Colt C., Newegg
27 March 2012
  • Summary: From now on if a cooler will not clear my ram I will not buy it. If by some fool mistake I do buy such a cooler, like I did with this one, I will return it and give it the lowest score possible. There is NO excuse for this kinda cruddy design at this point.
  • Pros: It's a 90mm cooler so it should not be as cumbersome as much larger ones.
  • Cons: If you have an AMD socket the stupid thing will only blow air upward or downward depending on how you mount it. After all, we AMD users are second rate consumers so why would we be discriminating enough to notice such a shortcoming? *sarcasm* This has to be one of the dumbest designs I've seen on...

Can't count to two?

Donald B., Newegg
27 October 2011
  • Summary: Never had a problem with AC products before. But this level of attention to detail makes me scratch my head. It's too heavy to RMA. I don't care to deal with the postage. Maybe I will remove the over-applied thermal past and use it as a paper weight. 5 eggs for Newegg. A Goose egg for AC.
  • Pros: It's heavy? As if that matters. Has some shiny parts.
  • Cons: It is quite heavy, but I can't use it. When I opened the package I discovered that only one AMD clip was in the parts bag. Hey AC employees. It needs two clips, not one. Thanks a lot.
