Excerpt: It has been quite some time since I have looked at any GPU coolers. In fact, I think it may have been the CoolIT All-In-One water cooler for my GTX 470. I thought it was about time I went back and got a hold of a few coolers that are up and coming, as well as a few of the coolers I have missed over the past year.
Summary: Arctic , previously known as Arctic Cooling has a long reputation in creating silent yet very powerfull cooling components. This all at an afforcable price. Most known are the versatile GPU coolers. Versatile as most models can be used on a wide range of reference PCBs. This being it ATI/AMD or Nvidia based. Today we received their brand new revised version of the Accelero Extreme Plus. Well you guessed it this slightly revamped version is called the Plus II.
Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME Plus VGA Cooler Review

Summary: The Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME Plus is the bigger brother of the
. It has the same problem found on that cooler, the lack of a backplate to make the installation more reliable, even more because the XTREME Plus is bigger and heavier than the Turbo Pro. It is also too big and may not fit in some cases: keep this in mind before buying it (it will need 11.4" or 290 mm clearance).
The performance of the Accelero XTREME Plus was simply unbelievable.
Summary: The GTX465 may run cooler than other Fermi-based graphics cards, but that doesn't mean you might not want to think about adding an aftermarket solution to protect your investment and cool things off even more. The Accelero XTREME Plus does an excellent job of keeping the GPU core very cool under fire. It also runs so quietly that you'd never know it was running unless you put your hand near it to feel the air moving.
Pros: » Universal mounting for multiple platforms, » Super quiet fans move a lot of air, » Pre-applied high-end thermal compound, » Works with existing power socket on video card - no need for a converter
Cons: » Mounting hardware may not be available, » Requires thermal adhesive for attaching heatsinks, » Card takes up three slots once installed, » May be too long for some cases
Excerpt: With three GTX 470s folding all the time, or at least when I'm not gaming, the heat that gets dumped into the room with stock coolers can be unbearable to say the least. Not only do they allow for rather high temperatures, there isn't a set of headphones that I own that can drown out the sound of the fans at anything over 80% speed.
Excerpt: Often, within the reviews of video cards, we said that the standard heat sinks were attached not only to lower expectations, but almost completely useless. Ridiculous performance, limited ability to overclock, maximum noise and a design that does not convince anyone. The only solution for those who bought a VGA from 200 € up is to buy a sink in addition to more lending.
Conclusion: While it might not be the cheapest chiller in the world, it’s far less expensive than some rediculous CPU setups out there and is certainly cheaper than installing a full WC loop which wouldn’t deliver much better temperatures than this. The Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus – what a mouthful – is a fantastic performing GPU cooler that’s quiet and looks good. What more do you need?
Pros: Excellent performance, trounces stock cooler, Looks good, Very Quiet
Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME Plus Review (tested with O/C 5870)

Excerpt: 1 Flares 1 Flares × If you share our mindset, then no matter what cooling you have, it will never be enough. With graphics cards getting faster and hotter all the time, manufacturers are releasing third party coolers on a regular basis … these offer lower running temperatures and reduced noise levels. If you are a demanding enthusiast, then reference solutions really just don’t make the grade anymore.
