Very VERY powerful cooler!
10 October 2013
Excerpt: This cooler was quite a challenge to install, but it was well worth the effort! The included heatsinks are applied with a special thermal glue, which allows additional card components to be cooled, such as the RAM chips or the power delivery components. Aside from water cooling, I doubt I could get my GPU much cooler! I installed this on a reference GTX 660ti and my results were; Idle temps went from 35~ degress to now just 27!
Summary: The Good: I try Xtreme III on my asus GTX 680 Direct. In general, it works well. The set of heatsinks for memory chips and VR units are great. But, you have to stick these to the graphic card one by one. Compared to deepcool Dracula, xtreme comes with three powerful fans. I do not need to mount the fans myself.
Summary: The Good: Slient. I can hardly hear the noise from the fans, even though it has three powerful fans.I purchased this because it's the summer, my card was running at about 50c idle, 85c under load and I was constantly crashing and getting texture memory problems (textures in games would randomly swap with each other).
Conclusion: Brought this fan to replace my stock cooler. I am amazed by how well it work, the cooling capacity is excellent and it is very powerful. It is also silent in operation! The performance you won’t expect from paying this price.
