Summary: the whole process is kind of an ordeal especially the thermal/glue having a 5hrs cure time, i let it sit over night after i applied the compound and seated the all the heat sink. it runs really quite now. it doesn't have a back plate or heat sink for the back of the card, would've been nice because the back of the card runs quite hot too. over all, a good replacement fan and a decent installation experience.
Summary: I've had an NVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ since the end of 2008 and it's been working very well for me so far. I can watch HD movies and play almost any PC game available without any issues. However, I recently installed and started playing a newer online game and I began having graphics issues almost immediately. The video would jitter, the image would freeze, the screen would go blank for about 5 seconds, and sometimes everything would just completely lock up.
Summary: I needed to quiet down the gtx 480SC(I could not take the sound anymore), so I bought this knowing it is not made for this card. But after installing heatsinks with the glue, make sure you stir for 5 min, it works so great my gtx 480SC never goes past 80 c and it does not make any noise at all. Tips You will need to cut a few heatsinks with a hacksaw to get the right coverage on the power units. I think gtx 480 sc is not reference so that was the problem.
Summary: I installed this on an XFX ATI 4890. There was a bug in the drivers recently that caused temps to reach as high as ~100C on the stock fan, which just wasn't acceptable for me. That prompted me to not only roll back the drivers to last year, but also seek additional cooling for the card. Before this Cooler, average idle was ~45-50C, and peak anywhere up to 80C at full load and fan set to 100% with the manual software control.
Summary: Excellent cooler. I purchased to replace stock cooler on my 5870 (GV-R587D5-1GD-B) in an effort to make the machine quieter. The stock cooler was loud, even at 20%, and it was only keeping the card at 60C idle and 80C load. Pros: - Quiet. Not silent, but quieter than the 140mm fans I have currently pumping ambient air, even at 100%. - Effective. Idle temps at 40C with fan at 20%. Load at 65-70C, with fan at 40%. - Cheap. The noise improvement alone was worth the money.
Fits GTX 560. Recommend for ANY true computer gamer or heavy graphic user.

Summary: First off I will say this is a quality product. Toss the instructions, here are your instructions. They have different packages depending on your video card cooler set screws. Here is a alternative. The screw holes did not line up correctly so some modifying was in order. For this you will need size 4, 3/4 long or equivalent screws, 8 #4 washers, 4 #4 lock nuts, 4 #4 nylon washers, wire cutters, needle nose pliers, #2 Philips head screwdriver and a permanent marker.
Beware. May not fit properly on non-reference cards.

Summary: My stock fan broke on me so instead of going through the trouble of RMA'ing, I thought I would buy this. XFX 6870 @955/1185 Stock 38 Idle / 62 Load Medium fan. Arctic 30 Idle / 56(Battlefield 3 Load) Max fan. BUT if I run Furmark of Kombuster, I will get 85 degrees. Sadly this is unable to handle faster/hotter cards. I have the 6870 and the fans just run too slow (extremely quiet though) to dissipate the heat.
Better cooling than stock cooler and MANY times quieter

Summary: I bought an XFX Radeon HD 6850 XXX for my wife's computer, and the stock cooler on that thing was INSANELY loud. The stock cooler idled around 40% fan speed, and it was loud even then. The slightest 3D action bumped it to 70-80% and resulted in a wicked, loud, high pitch whine. I bought this cooler and couldn't be happier. I had some worries about fit, and it's definitely not the easiest, completely painless installation, but it was totally worth it.
Summary: Great product, worth every dollar. I have an ATI HD 4890 who's stock fan was louder than a jet engine and that was at 35% fan speed. The arctic cooling accelero runs super quite at 100% fan speed. One of the best purchases I've ever made. I highly recommend this product. THe product arrived on time and in great condition as well.
