Good, but flawed

Jeff C., Newegg
20 December 2011
  • Summary: large. on my card, the fins go out past the size of the card on the top and the side where the PCIe power is connected.
  • Pros: Quiet and thethe temps are now lower.
  • Cons: Some of the pieces did not match the picture in the instructions and in any event, could not be installed. I am not sure if this is affecting its performance. My card idles at 65 on the stock cooler. After installing this Accelero cooler, temp started at 48 and slowly crept up to about 60 after 1...

  • Pros: This is a decent cooler it kept my temps about 10*F less than normal.
  • Cons: I was hoping for a more dramatic reduction in the temps.

cool and silent, but couldn't handle the heat

alexander s., Newegg
6 March 2011
  • Summary: gave it 3 eggs because i can tell it's a competent product, but maybe they should have made a newer Rev3 version or something for newer cards, as it could not handle my HD4870 with plenty of case fans. there is no room for the fan add-on kit.
  • Pros: -EXTREMELY quiet. kicked my PC's noise level down a few notches, and then some. only noticeable noise is my (stock) CPU fan and case fans. -fit perfectly on my dual-slot MSI HG4870 without pushing up against the wifi card beneath it. it also fit well as far as width is concerned. it's only about ...
  • Cons: -PERFORMANCE: didn't have many games installed to test with, but tried Amnesia on everything MAX. worked fine before installing Accelero, but afterward I would get blue and red artifacts that got worse and worse. Just Cause 2 Demo crashed, and a red light on my card lit up. seems like it just can...

  • Summary: If you want to get working right...Slap fans on it, I got 2 90mm fans on it to get it working right. After that the temp stayed down. When it stays still the temp is around 46C ...but it never gone over 55C.....
  • Pros: Using it on a XFX Geforce 7600 Gt. It does fit it.
  • Cons: It is big, make sure you have room for it! First time put it in, ran the temp of my card way the F up - 77C

Good results, a lot of work

David W., Newegg
3 May 2010
  • Summary: I'm very pleased with the final results. I'm not pleased with how I got here. I also have an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro, which installed easily and worked very well right away. Judging from my experience here, the build quality on this item is lower; or maybe the CPU cooler doesn't have to accommodate as...
  • Pros: 1. Results: I added a 120mm fan with zip ties and set it to run at a quiet 1000 rpm. With this cooler, idle and load temps on my Nvidia 8800GT dropped by 40 percent. Unfortunately, it took a lot of analogue trial and error to get to this point. See below. 2. Price (although, in my experience, New...
  • Cons: I almost gave up. I took a lot of care preparing the RAM chips and voltage regulators for the stick-on heatsinks, because that seemed to be the most common shortcoming. The actual assembly was not difficult. But my initial results were disappointing: even with my fan, idle temps dropped by only a...

Ganska bra
