Summary: If you want to keep your card in safe condition, spend a few more bucks on a heatsink with a fan. Frankly, if you're playing a game with the speakers blaring or headphones on, you're not going to notice a good VGA cooler with a fan on.
Pros: No fan noise.
Cons: I followed the instructions to the letter attaching this to my Nvidia 8800 GT. Cleaned off everything, applied thermal paste, etc. After taking it for a test run the card ran 20C higher than with the stock fan. The ramsinks really don't have anyway of staying on well, and provide little to no coo...
Summary: It's huge! Seriously. I thought I had a big case, and I still had trouble getting it in. Be careful.
Pros: - Silent
Cons: This thing barely works. I think the problem lies in its flimsy construction. The legs that attach it to the card bend easily, so it's really had to get the thing attached right. The fins themselves might as well have been made out of aluminum foil. My card is now 55C idle and 90C at load. It's n...
Summary: The problem for me is that the radiator is positioned up and to the front, it's not positioned to be inline with the video card, it only it was :( if only.... It's likly design this way to place the radiator in an air stream, and not covered by the video card.
Pros: I got this product to try and reduce the sound coming from the video cards fan in my HTPC, by removing it all together. This produce Looks cool and adapted to my gts 250 card.
Cons: In my HTPC nmedia 6000 case it's about 1/4 too tall and 1/8 too long.
Summary: it's a good thing this wasnt too expensive, because i would be more ticked off.
Pros: bought it for an 8800GT. Comes with enough ram heatsinks (8) for it. and 3 other ones. setup wasn't very complicated, the directions were easy to follow. after i first installed it, it seemed it was doing its job. It wasn't much of an improvement over the stock fan, but it was nice to not have th...
Cons: I followed the instructions including using a pencil eraser on the VRAM and still some of the heatsinks wont stay on, and it seems that the others would fall of eventually. After about a day or so, the temps were getting into the 90's so i checked it out, and sure enough, 3 of the ram heatsinks f...
