Summary: I expected better from the Antec name to be honest. I had a few noisy fans so I bought 2 of the Standard version to replace them. When I put the first one in it was louder on high than the fan it replaced. (NZXT 120mm) Also on the high setting it had what can best be described as a chatter. The chatter fades after a few minutes of each start up, but I can't think that bodes well for its future.
Summary: I moved this to my side intake because I didn't want lots of flow there above the CPU (lots of flow interferes with my CPU cooler somehow). Now the nice green color is on the side. I found a generic fan laying around that far out-performed this as a front intake and wasn't too loud when running at low speeds.
Pros: -Great color, not too bright -Has rubber mounts and rubber screws/straps for low vibrations
Cons: -Low airflow -Not ideal as an intake. When I mounted it as my front intake, just having the case's grill on the pulling side reduced the airflow to almost nothing -Too loud for how much air it pushes. Sure it has low vibrations because of the rubber mounts, but the noise the motor+fan blades make are too much. It's still not the loudest fan in my case though.
Summary: Well, these fans are true to their name; quiet as can be. There are two speed settings, (low and high) and they are both nearly silent. When turned up to high, all you can hear is the slightest sound of air moving. The four corner mounts are thick rubber, and the included "rubber" screws are fantastic. All yuo have to do is thread it through the hole, pull it tight and snip the excess off.
Summary: Most of the reviewers are right this is a nice quiet fan, but it just doesn't move enough air for me. I ordered the AeroCool Shark EN55413 at the same time and the AreoCool moves twice as much air with approx. the same sound level. So I ended up putting this one in another just-doesn't-matter application and I ordered up a second AreoCool for my important application.
Excerpt: I must confess to being pleasantly surprised by how quiet this fan actually turned out to be. The high speed setting is about as loud as I'd expected the slower setting to be, and the slower setting I couldn't hear at all over the faint hum of my CPU fan. For someone who needs to air cool a PC without making much noise, I would recommend this product. I do, however, have one small complaint.
Summary: After I got this, I discovered the Cougar CF-V12H. The Cougar is whisper quiet and moves twice as much air. I replaced my Antec TrueQuiet. I still love my Antec power supply though. Antec is a good brand, I just don't like this fan.
Pros: Works as advertised. Almost silent, even on high power. Easy installation.
Cons: Doesn't move much air. I regretted my purchase as soon as I plugged it in. I will only go down to 3 eggs though, because the product worked as advertised -- it is not advertised as moving a lot of air.
