Summary: The fan I received was rather poor. it runs very quietly if it is at an angle, but horizontal (pointing up or down) or vertical orientations both have noise that seems to be from a balance issue. It might not be noticeable to some but I was hoping for something that closer to silent or at the very least, produced a steady hum without the lurch noise you get from something out of alignment.
Summary: The 120mm fan is silent on both modes. The Pro version I purchased has a selector switch built in that allows setting the fan speed. These fans were used to cool a stereo amplifier in a TV stand for which I needed a lot of air flow and silent operations.
Summary: Pros: It really is silent. Cons: It is hard to fit in a case... if it were not for this, then I would have given this fan 5 stars. So, I got this to go in my Cooler Master N200 case. I was wanting to put it in the back of the case to push air out, while moving the fan that was there to the front to have dual fans pulling air into the case from the front.
Summary: This fan was was to install, I have never used the rubber "tool-less mounting" systems before, and It worked just fine. I have this fan mounted on the GPU side of my Antec GX700 case, a product I am also quite pleased with.
Excerpt: I have purchased three TrueQuiet fans. As of now, I am using the "low" setting; this setting seems to move an adequate amount of air while remaining extremely quiet. The mounting system is easy to install while utilizing connectors that isolate vibration. Numerous power connectors have been included in the package. You will find enclosed a molex connector as well as a motherboard header connector.
Excerpt: After listening to my failing computer cooling fan for months I finally decided to replace it. One trip to Staples Portchester, $15.00 and 20 minutes later and the problem was fixed. The fan itself is quiet and of the quality that it will probably outlast the drive system. I am an in home business that relies on my computers to stay viable. Good product, good price, easy installation...what else can you say?
Summary: I, BEING A COMPUTER GEEK, HAVE INSTALLED TONS OF FANS OVER THE YEARS IN COMPUTER AND ANTEC ARE TRULY MY NUMBER ONE CHOICE AS THEY ARE GREAT QUALITY AND REASONABLE PRICED. THIS IS ONE OF THEIR NEWEST MODELS THAT I PUT IN MY SYSTEM AND THEY ARE SO QUIET IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THEY ARE EVEN OPERATING !
Summary: I bought 3 of those to replace two Cooler Master SickleFlow I bought a week ago in sale thinking they'd be great fans. Turns out the SickleFlow are loud. Since I love silence, I wanted silent fans. I have two as intakes and 1 as an exhaust. All in all, I have 5 fans in the case, (one on the CPU heatsink and another 180mm as a top-mounted exhaust) and they're by far the most quiets fans in my case. Replacing the SickleFlow which move These fans are really quiet.
Pros: 100% quiet in Slow mode., Not that loud in Fast mode., Rubber finish removes case vibration, Nice LEDs, Not too expensive when PriceMatched
Cons: Rubber grummets hard to install, Larger than standard 120mm fans
