  • Summary: If you can bear the sound of the fan, it's okay. It does its job with noisy sound. So not worth to try.

Gets the job done but a little to loud

Phantomlrp, Bestbuy
31 March 2014
  • Summary: Picked up this fan since it was on sale. The led light was cool but the fan is a little noisy. This is probably due to the small 80mm size.
  • Pros: Speed control
  • Cons: noise

Mine came defective in two ways

J. Maloney, Amazon
25 April 2013
  • Summary: Defective wiring: The fan came with a 6-inch extension offering two power connections, 3-pin and 4-pin. I used the 3-pin connector on the extension and the fan got no power. (I tested the power source with my rear case fan and the power source was good.) I removed the extension and used the fan's 3-pin connector. Defective speed switch: The fan worked when the speed selector was on high, but the fan did nothing with the switch on low or medium.

Quiet... until it isn't

D. J. Bookbinder "David of MA", Amazon
14 May 2012
  • Summary: Like the other reviewers say, this is a quiet fan even on high... until it isn't. Mine started to make quite a bit more noise on startup, presumably the early warning signs of bearing failure, and the fan is only a couple of months old. Replaced it with a StarTech fan that appears to be just as quiet but is, I hope, more durable.

User Review

Equalizer1001, Walmart
12 May 2012
  • Summary: This fan did not cool as much as expected even on the highest speed setting. It seemed to push out a lot of air but compared to the one that it was replacing, it was not equivalent. In addition, I used standard case fan hardware (attachment screws - not included) which went in extremely hard. I purchased this fan to replace an old used one I just installed to keep the temperature down. This was done after adding a fan-less video card.
