Summary: took 4 eggs off for each screw hole. Get a Top motor/Rexus fan here. Couldn't even use my Akustic rubber insulator with these "white" fans. I was able to use it with the original Antec fan from 2008 though. A fan? Get real!
Cons: This 120mm 3-speed fan was to replace an Antec fan in my Antec Solo case bought in 2008 here at Newegg. That's 7 years of service, the original black plastic Tri-cool lasted. Not bad huh? Well, I got more of these "new" white plastic looking fans to replace the sometimes old noisy 2008 one. It di...
Summary: The fan looks nice till you try to install it. The 4 screws that come with the fan are all rusty or were not threaded properly. had to to go out to buy the 4 fan screws a fresh. Once, I was able to add the fan in the desktop case - I realized it was too noisy and air that it was pulling out was too...
Summary: I purchased this fan to replace a very similar Antec fan that had failed after five years of nearly continuous use.
Pros: None yet because it's not fully installed.
Cons: Problems with this product: 1. The packaging provides a URL to the Antec web site for installation instructions. Installing a case fan should be no big deal, but since they provided it I thought it prudent to see if there were any special considerations. The URL gets redirected to the Antec home ...
Summary: I have an old case with a working Tri cool fan that'll I'll use instead. The new one looks nice, but uses if I can't mount it.
Pros: Coudln't tell you, never got it to mount.
Cons: Couldn't mount it. I have the Antec Twelve Hundred case, replacing a dead Tri Cool Fan. The dead fan had the threaded holes for the screws, this new one does not -- it has non-threaded holes. Trying to screw it in, I felt the fan hole about to crack, so I stopped and I'm returning it.
Summary: The antec Case Fans that come with the Double Ball Bearing (which is what you want!!!) says Double Ball Bearing on the Package. When I went to pick this up at Walmart, the package did NOT say Doouble Ball Bearing. If it does not say it on the package, it does NOT have it!!!
Summary: I contacted Antec and they promised me some replacement fans that would fit in my case the proper way. That was two months ago. I'm still waiting but not really getting any hopes up... Will gladly give 5 eggs if Antec would stand behind their product as well as they say they do.
Pros: I have two of these in an Antec ISK 300-150 case and they keep it nice and cool while being nearly silent.
Cons: I got these specifically because they had the speed controller attached that is supposed to fit in the ISK 300-150 case. Unfortunately, the cable is a couple of inches too short to fit into the designated spot so I've had to set the speed and then leave it inside the case.
Summary: This is the first time I have seen a fan broke all by itself. After about a year of use, the first fan failed soon followed by the second identical fan I bought at around the same time. The plastic between the fan and the shaft fractured all by itself when the fan speed was on high.
Pros: - Quiet - Adjustable fan speed - LED
Cons: - Both fans I purchased broke after a year of use
