Excellent CPU temperatures

PCbuilder, Staples
8 July 2014
  • Excerpt: After applying this compound to my CPU recently, it will be the last thermal compound I ever use. The diamond formula does an excellent job dissipating the heat from the CPU to the heat sink i have installed in my gaming computer. My Idle temperatures are lower than they have ever been.I have an Intel i7-4770K overclocked to 4.6GHz and it idles at 18 degrees Celsius and at full load I have never seen it go above 40 degrees Celsius.

Worked as intended

Alecia, Staples
5 June 2014
  • Excerpt: This product worked as intended and my processor no longer overheats.Applying the paste with a business card like the tech suggested was also easier than using the little applicator stick supplied in the package. Best of all, I still have enough left over to reapply thermal compound to two to three more unitsMy only complaint, and it's a miniscule one, is that the product was not on clearance like the 'find in store' page said.

Performed as required.

shotty, Staples
14 March 2014
  • Excerpt: This thermal compound is a requiped necessity if you remove the heatsink from your processor as I did. A cleaned surface with this compound reapplied works for me. Applictor helped keep the job and me cleaner and neater.
  • Pros: Easy To Install, Highly Compatible, Reliable

Works well

  • Excerpt: What is there to say? It is heat sink "Goop". It is not hard to apply or spread. The included spreader is a nice touch though. (GRIN) I used it after I reflowed my Dell XPS M1710 Laptop Video card with a heatgun and some aluminum foil. Laptop works great again and seems to be running cooler.

Decent enough...

BarnDog, Staples

  • Excerpt: It's no Arctic Silver 5 but it's pretty close... This stuff is very thick, you only need a tiny dot of it on a CPU.

Doesn't take much

maxwell, Staples

  • Excerpt: This stuff works so well, you can use only half of what another product would need. Good on the higher speed multicore chips.
  • Pros: Reliable, Use Sparingly

Worked, but difficult to apply

Case, Staples
2 May 2013
  • Excerpt: One of my high-performance editing workstations shut down due to a "thermal event." So, I went to Staples and got a syringe of this stuff.I managed to apply the paste, but it was very difficult to obtain a thin film because it is so thick. I even tried heating it in hot water, but it thickened up quickly. This is very different from other products I have used, which were much less viscous and spread much more easily. The secret is to take your time.
  • Cons: Difficult To Set Up

Good product

Ed, Staples
25 April 2013
  • Excerpt: Needed thermal paste for a desktop job, and a suspected bad CPU. This product worked great. Went on smooth and stayed pliable. Really sticky, but to be expected. I have plenty more product for other computer builds.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Efficient, Quality Construction, Reliable
