There is an undocumented feature on this over (and other Whirlpool others like it) called an energy saver

Summary: I have the 27" black version of this oven for about 2 years (bought elsewhere). I agree with what has been written in that the loud fan goes on and stays on until it cools down. I have also read about the failures of the control board when you run the self clean.
Summary: This is a piece of junk comes with our new Standard Pacific home. The oven puts out so much heat below the front door panel and the cooling fan keeps running for at least 20 minutes after we've done our cooking. It's so noisy and annoying.
Excerpt: Unlike previous reviews, I did not find it noisy to operate. In fact it is quieter than my last one. I love the large see through window. Also an improvement over the older model. The only thing I did and do not like about either oven , is that you cannot broil unless the door is completely closed.
Excerpt: I really like this new oven and all recipes baked in this oven have turned out well. It has done a very good job on cookies, brownies, cake and cornbread, which I have made several times. The oven has very even heating. I like the fan on it. I have not had to move dishes in the oven.
Pros: Convenient Features, Easy to use, Performance
Excerpt: We have really enjoyed the Whirlpool appliances we purchased when we did our kitchen remodel. We like the extra large window on the 5.0 cu. ft. wall oven as we can easily see how things are baking/broiling in the oven.
Pros: Convenient Features, Design, Easy to use, Energy Savings, Innovative, Performance, Style
