Summary: Just google the phrase "Whirlpool Self clean fail" and find the hundreds, if not thousands of people with issues. Whirlpool ovens cannot self clean without burning up the circuit board--it's a design flaw. DO NOT BUY.
Summary: Purchased this wall oven after our '70's oven broke. It is soooo much better than the one we had. It fit in the same space and is roomier inside. It has the largest inside room out of the 24" out there. I still can't fit a large cookie sheet in it, but I can fit a 16" round pizza sheet in it. The racks curve up in the back( perhaps to keep things off the rear wall) but it prohibits some of the pans I can put in it (16" sq. pan) The digital display is good.
Summary: We bought the Whirlpool built-in oven. The third time we used the self-cleaning option, it burned up the circuit board. We found out from the repairman that Whirlpool is the absolute worst self-cleaning oven you can buy because eventually the self-cleaning option burns something up and breaks the oven. Why have a self-cleaning option if you can't use it? The repairman recommended that we buy a GE because the self-cleaning option on a GE works.
Summary: This is truly a great oven, installation was easy and it fit like a glove. We search the web for a month before deciding on the Whirlpool. Using our old oven it would take 4 hours to bake a 12 lb ham at 350. Today it was completely done in 2 hours and 45 minutes juicy and tender. Great buy and very easy to use.
