Summary: This a nice oven, not really fancy but looks real nice in my small kitchen. I don't like the oven size is smaller then I wanted it, but cooks good and had no problem learning how to use. Also do not like the fact that the hot air comes out the front of the oven.
Summary: The installation of the oven was quite simple and fit into the space of my old Caloric oven perfectly. The new oven does not have a vent to the outside, which is disappointing because of the additional heat and some fumes that enter the kitchen as a result. It is very noticeable compared to my old oven. However, it appears most, if not all manufacturers, are now venting to the room, which is hardly energy efficient especially in Texas.
I installed our new oven and now baking is fun again.

Summary: ??I installed the oven my self. The oven was well packed, clean and in excellent condition when we brought it home. It fit perfectly in the space where the old oven had been. Two people were needed to move the oven into place. The oven is light enough for one person to lift but its size is ackward to move by one's self. I purchased a gas flex hose connection kit from my local hardware store for about $12.00 and some thread gunk to prevent leaks.
Summary: When our old oven finally took a dive, I contenplated whether I should go with a stand alone oven, or just replace the existing wall oven. I read a couple of good reviews about the Maytag, plus I had researched many different ovens, but when we recieved our new Maytag, I immediately noticed that area around the top display would get very hot. I noticed that the oven exhaust comes out the front, right below the display.
Summary: This is the greatest little oven ever. First of all, I got in on sale for $723 and it makes me really happy. I spent 2 weeks researching which oven to buy and I read both good and bad things about this model. Now that I've used it, I can't think of anything bad to say. It heats up evenly and cooks right according to the recipe. I love that the oven light doesn't stay on forever while the oven is on, so at least it won't get busted so fast.
Summary: I purchased this oven to replace a wall oven that was 25 years old. This was in Dec. 1998. By Jan. 2003 we had to have the Electronic Control Panel replaced. In June 2006, we had to have the Electronic Control Panel replaced again. Now July 2009 the Panel has gone out again. Not sure if I should replac again or just get a different oven.
Summary: I bought this oven over 11 years when I built my home. I've only encountered 2 problems with it. After 9 years I had to replace the heating element which cost about ($35.00) very simple to replace and now I have to replace eht Electronic Range control because my oven shows a function failure 5 the cost for the part is approximately($170.00) I am debating between replacement or in buying a new oven.
Summary: I replaced my old Maytag wall oven with this one myself. Very easy to do, it took me about 2 hours to install. My only complaint was with the installation guide, the diagram did not match my new ovens insides. But with a little effort I was able to figure it out. I would recommend this oven, Its not a fancy oven but I only need it to cook in.
