Door Hinge

Dominique Black, Amazon
19 March 2011
  • Summary: Bought one of these stoves as a replacement until I remodeled my kitchen. The right hinge broke as described in the other comments. The stove was still under warranty and had it replaces. Same thing happened to the new stove. Will NEVER buy another Frigidaire product. This hinge system is still being used!!! Beware.

Piece of Trash, Hinges Always Break

Travis W. Windleharth, Amazon
30 January 2011
  • Summary: Like all of the others, I have had an absolutely terrible time with this oven. The hinges continue to break. They will keep breaking, and I will keep calling Lowe's. DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN! It was the only oven that fit in our slot, but now I will look for an alternative to this flimsy piece of trash.

  • Summary: Temperature is never accurate. Have had to have the hinges replaced over 3 times now. Even the service guy said this model was getting several complaints about the hinges.

defective oven

leemac, Amazon
30 January 2011
  • Summary: We bought a Frigidaire wall oven (FGB24T3EBD) in 2008. Within the first year, the upper oven door started to stick when the oven was hot. The problem worsened, until we were unable to open the door at all (while it was hot, with a cake baking inside) without forcing it open. The hinges are flimsily attached with sheet metal screws that easily pull out, deforming the sheet metal. The hinges are not repairable, and unfortunately it is out of warranty now, so we're screwed.

Terrible door hinge problem on Frigidaire 24 inch gas wall oven

Sherry A. White, Amazon
30 January 2011
  • Summary: I needed to replace a 27 inch gas oven, but found out that gas only comes in 24 inch now. I bought this Frigidaire oven in white, with high hopes, a little concerned because it was so much smaller than the one it is replacing. Amost immediately, I noticed that the oven door was getting hard to open. Then, after a few months, I noticed that the hinge plate on the left side of the door was starting to 'bow' or 'warp.

A good practical oven for those who do not want to spend.

RKlach, Amazon
30 January 2011
  • Summary: I wanted to keep the gas oven feature in my wall oven, besides, I didn't want to pay an additional $500.00 ($300.00 to install an electric line, plus $250.00 for installation and cutting the cabinet, etc.) plus my space was tight, I have an older kitchen which I did not want to spend thousands renovating. Frigidaire has a good name in appliances and so far my oven has been working fine. I have already broiled and baked in it, with good results.

DO NOT BUY!!!!

Dan P. Elder, Amazon
14 December 2010
  • Summary: I have to echo the same sentiment as everyone else, DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN!!! Our hinges have failed multiple times now and the design is ridiculous. If the door worked well it would be a decent oven but for an oven that costs this much the door should stay attached to the oven. The heating elements work well and the size is nice since there don't seem to be many gas heated ovens out there but the build quality is extremely inadequate.
