  • Summary: We have the earlier model of this oven, it's now 6 years old. The big problem with it is when something goes wrong, you won't be able to find someone who actually services it in the US. Now, I live in San Diego, which is a fairly large urban area. So, if you live somewhere more rural, unless it's in New Zealand, don't buy these products.

Poorly built product, poor support

  • Summary: I purchased this oven partly because of its appearance and partly because it had a reputation for energy efficiency. It uses VERY little electricity, mostly because during the two years I have had the oven, I've actually been able to use it no more than 20 times. I'm not a baker, but come on - the oven this replaced was a 20-year-old-plus GE! Fortunately I bought an extended warranty.

Buyer beware - very poor customer service

  • Summary: I purchased this oven through a local dealer in February 2011. I was sold on the elegant design and solid construction, the salesperson's demo of the true convection features, and that it was well priced between very high end ovens and mass manufactured brands. I was intrigued that the company was based in New Zealand. I loved the oven from February to December 2011.

No help from Fisher Paykel

  • Summary: I have a 2007 Fisher Paykel wall oven. The baking element and temperature probe have both gone out. When I called the Fisher Paykel customer service it was out of warranty. They make no apologies for the short life of their product and they take no responsibility. Parts are not available locally and you have to use an authorized Fisher Paykel technician to diagnose the problem or they won't even take a report. The Fisher Paykel warranty is only one year.

  • Summary: Okay, it's working now. And it is a great oven. Really it is. I hope I never have to deal with Fisher Paykel customer service again though. Read more to see why I feel that way.... My oven doesn't work properly. They don't know why. They want to just swap parts again and again. They won't tell me their plan of action. What I thought would be a great oven is the worst oven of my life. I believe my oven is fixed.
