Summary: Our 17 year old 24" GE wall oven/microwave had a catastrophic failure and new parts are no longer available. I chose this 27" wall oven/microwave because: 1-It would fit in the old kitchen cabinet with some modification, 2-Electrolux is a good brand, 3-The reviews (although only a few) are good, 4-The price was very good, 5-Free shipping.
Summary: Great unit overall, microwave a little under powered compared to my old unit but it has nice features. On the downside, the tech support from Electrolux was poor. Our unit arrived with an issue with the microwave, the microwave failed to heat about half the time we tried. All the tech support, 4 different techs as well as the authorized repairman, could not find the problem and blamed "user error" and told us the unit was working within established parameters.
Excerpt: Okay - I had some issues with this product after I purchased it in March. I had to have service company out 4 times to get it working correctly. Basically, they had to replace both mother boards, 2 fans, and every other working component to make this oven work (except maybe the door hinges). It took one month - that was in addition the month we spent without an oven doing research and waiting to get this one installed after previous oven died completely.
Summary: I need to say I didn't buy this thru Amazon. We initially bought this in Jan. of 2012. The main attraction was the fact the oven racks are on ball-bearings and slide out with the tug of one finger. Like all modern appliances, you have to be computer savvy to get the most out of this appliance. There are dozens of possible touch screen settings for operating the microwave as well as the oven. It replaced a 23 y.o. Thermador, which was definitely outdated.
