IT WORKS! was worried that it had been tossed around for years..

Summary: I'm happy - only used it once because that's all I needed it for, but I was mainly just happy that it worked! I 'shook' it for a sec after taking it out of the packaging heard something DIFFERENT.. nothing! No rattling, pieces, etc. Might never use it again but if they go down in price to $5 or so I'll probably purchase more of them.
Summary: This uses the standard 34 pin floppy interface, it is NOT EIDE as stated in the ad. EIDE and IDE are for "Integrated Device Electronics" and is/was the replacement for most hard drives from the MFM/RLL days and use a 40 (or 80) pin cable, not 34 pins.
Summary: I can only speak for the good name of the floppy drive since any Sony product I have ever purchased has been excellent. Unfortunately, I did not realize this product was an internal drive which requires knowledge and courage for installing the device. There were no instructions for installation but help was available at the seller's office.
Summary: My wife and I are real pleased with the 3.5 inch floppy drive [Sony MPF920-Z/CU1 Internal]. The customer service was nice, the delivery was as promised and the merchandise is super. I am a do-it-yourselfer type person. It would have been nice if brief instructions for installation had been included. However, I realize that information is available on the Web so I survived.
Summary: Various colored face plates and Sony quality [plus price] made this an attractive add on drive. If it doesn't have the color face plate you want, paint it. Installed easily with exsisting extra power supply plug and on the ribbon cable as a "slave" removeable drive with the CD as prime. Screws?

Summary: As with all Sony computer peripheral products I have used in the past, this item has met the same high standards and functionality. I highly recommend Sony over other manufacturers for reliability and quality.
