Plug and play

  • Summary: New drive for my daughters HP Pavilion DV5z. Old one quit after four years. No configuration: just shut down, install, restart= working. It was that easy. Newegg standard UPS ground took five days, not what I'm used to. No eggs off because I took the cheap route!
  • Pros: 10 Minutes work, no configuration
  • Cons: None

Works Just Fine

dennis a., Newegg

  • Pros: I bought this for my first PC build. My mother board, ASRock AD 2700-ITX, had all the right connections. It all worked on the first try and I loaded my operating system. Hopefully it'll keep working.
  • Cons: I haven't come across any real Cons. It pops out just like a laptop drive so it feels a little flimsy, but only so much plastic can fit in something so small.

Great price and easy to install

  • Summary: I had to buy this as a replacement for the drive on my laptop, which just suddenly stopped working. Installation for this couldn't have been easier. Once you know how to remove the drive from your current laptop (in my case just one simple screw) the old drive will just pop out.

Good Replacement for SATA Laptop Drive

Mr. Am Kean "adthelad", Amazon

  • Summary: Fine replacement for the cheapo oem "slimtype" drive on a recent Acer laptop. Couldn't be bothered losing the machine for a couple of weeks for a warranty return. This is only a DIY fit if you are familiar with laptops. You will probably have to swap the fascia with that from the existing drive.
