Summary: If all you care about is performance, go for it! But, if things like noise and the fact that the faceplate isn't really black bother you, skip it! Or find a quieter drive and stealth it. >:D
Pros: -Faster than a speeding bullet. -Installation and fitment is a snap. -Actually works quite well, so far.
Cons: -Noisier than a speeding train. -I got this mainly for the all black faceplate. However, it's more like a dark grey and didn't match my Corsair 650D very well at all. -The drive delays for a second when you open it and the plastic is very creaky, so even when it's not spinning, it's noisy!
Summary: It came wrapped in bubble wrap with no books instruction etc. But for the price what can you expect.
Pros: Works great with no issues so far. Computer found and loaded it with no problem
Cons: I bought this drive mainly because of the name. I was a little disappointed in the packaging and the quality of the drive. Though it works ok, it appears to stall a little when opening. I’m afraid it won’t last very long.
Summary: Some other DVD burners we've used feel like better quality than this Sony, for example ASUS, Samsung, and Lite-On. Wanted a second DVD burner for my main PC that's a different brand then the first one. That way when you look in My Computer or in Device Manager you can easily tell which is which.
