Pros: If you need a SlimDVD drive then this will fit the bill nicely.
Cons: If you are purchasing for a desktop build, rather than as a replacement drive, keep in mind that you will get a bare drive with no bracket, screws, or the required Power+Sata SlimDVD cable. I purchased for an HTPC build in a case that will not fit a standard drive, and didn't realize the "gotchas" until I received the drive. Luckily, the case (Noctua 506) had a bracket and the proper screws - but no cable. YMMV depending on what you buy.
Summary: This drive fits just fine in a mini Dell Optiplex 3020, and seems to work as advertised. However, it is noticeably noisier than the drive that it replaced, with a high-pitched whine that is somewhere between annoying and teeth-grating. Fortunately this particular unit will be rarely used. In addition, it *feels* delicate, though I don't have any evidence that it actually is. I don't think I would buy this model again.
