VilanceD, Newegg
18 January 2013
  • Pros: Slim design, I used with a Chenbro 1x ODD Bay/3.5" HDD frame. Thankfully that frame came with an adapter for the ODD to go into regular sata III.
  • Cons: Having to get adapter to work for PC. not worth losing an egg.

Just right

LazerTag, Newegg
17 January 2013
  • Summary: You can bet my next laptop will NOT be an Acer. The DVD burner and 500 gig HD have boh now failed on this thing.
  • Pros: Replaced the GT32N Hitachi drive in a less than 1 year old Acer 5560-7402. Perfect fit and the old faceplate went right on. Not a single issue with this drive
  • Cons: Nothing wrong on the drive at all!

  • Pros: Price is good and the drive is quiet. Installed this in my HTPC and couldn't be happier!
  • Cons: This drive does need a slimline adapter to connect cables. Not included, so plan on spending an extra $7 or so.
