Summary: We have Blu-ray players on both TV's, but ever since I got that Acer 32" monitor for the PC I'd been keeping an eye out for a decent internal Blu-ray player/DVD/CD. I read reviews (here and elsewhere), bugged some buddies, and finally decided on this model. When Amazon ran it on sale for $75 it became a no-brainer (sorry Zombies)and we've lived happily ever after since then!
Summary: Purchased this Samsung blu-ray player for my new build a z77 motherboard and i7 cpu, and windows 7, this drive was not expensive and I could have purchased a much higher ranked blu-ray drive. But I am happy with my purchase the drive looks good with its led light and it runs smooth and quiet. It reads and Writes at a very except able speed. Play all media I have placed in it without any problems. Nice blu ray player.

Summary: first of all this is a replacement purchase, the first one went south and blue screened my computer, not cool.so put the new one in, at first watching some bd's through it i wasnt impressed and im thinking that my ps3 looks better than this, and after a few movies it started looking much better. so im happy with its performance. one hiccup is that youll have to pay to download powerdvd 11 or better 12 is out now, shoot the heck out of a fifty dollar bill.
Summary: This Blu-ray played fine my Blu-ray movies and i burn DVDs with Lightscribe. It was Awesome. eah, i had problems with the HDCP but the solution came when I had the DVI to HDMI adapter, then I could always watch movies. But then.... ogh!! the damn drive had a problem and it couldn't read anything. But the worse part is that the service, wasn't availible. I bought this in USA and brought it to my country.
Summary: I purchased this Blu-Ray drive to install in my Windows 7 x64 home theater PC. It serves two purposes: playing DVDs and Blu-Rays, and backing up my current DVD and Blu-Ray collection for playback in XBMC (media center suite). I chose this drive mainly for its high advertised read speed/price ratio (more on that later) and for its reviews on Amazon and other sites.
Summary: Installation is pretty straight forward if you're comfortable opening up your computer. Connect the SATA cable to your board and than to your drive, then connect the power cable from your power supply...then you're done (of course not forgetting to screw the drive into the drive bay. Samsung also has a helpful driver update utility that you can use to look for updated firmware.
