Cons: Drivers continue to fail. Every 3 to 4 months you have to find the drivers again and if you are crazy stupid enough to call Samsung they will give you 7 different numbers to call because none of them are trained to give support. Cheap piece of junk by a company who has untrained people working in...
Summary: My experience with Samsung has always been good, except for this product. With two drives, I experienced a 50% failure rate. I hope this is just bad luck. Awaiting a response from Samsung support.
Pros: An inexpensive drive from a proven name
Cons: Two drives were purchased. Within three months, one of the drives had failed.
Summary: Don't waist you money. Very slow burn / rip times. 3 to 10 times slower than other drives, never got anywhere near 24X. I've had two of these, the first one started ok and slowed down dramatically after a couple of months, the second one was slow out of the box.
Pros: inexpensive, but you get what you pay for
Cons: Very Slow burn/ rip times, Not really a Samsung.
