Summary: I use this drive on rare occasion. Honestly files are getting too big for DVDs and they'll soon be obsolete. I use this to burn boot disks for when one of my other computers fail. Maybe a music CD for my mother or aunt once in a while after they beg me for 5 weeks. I wouldn't recommend using this thing to burn a ton of discs at a time. Be sure to allow it to cool off or you'll burn it out. get two or three and cycle between them.
Summary: This device came loose in a box with NO packaging and worked only long enough for me to load windows on a computer I put together for my wife. The first time I used this device after the installation of the operating system it read disk but would not play then failed to even recognize disk. I am only giving a description of my experience with this device because i was petitioned via email to do so by seller or Amazon.
Summary: This is just a bulk DVD player, nothing special. It is really is not needed for modern computers. I only use it on occasion. I saw comments about it not being branded Samsung and it is not labeled such on the tray of the device. On the sticker on the label on the internal part of the drive it does say Samsung.
