Summary: I debated giving it 3 eggs since it seems so cheap and flimsy and probably will not last very long unless your very careful with it and baby this thing a bit but I gave it 4 since it works and was very cheap and basically using it for some Mini ITX builds that have no optical drives.
Pros: Cheap Looks nice
Cons: Very flimsy and the tray comes out crooked and very loose. Slow spin up on a few of the cds I put in to test it.
Excerpt: I bought this for use with a Windows 8.1 computer. Its operating software is not smooth at all. When I fire it up, it often resets. When playing a video, it sometimes gets half way through (or less) and then goes back to the "select file" screen. And then after playing it another time or two, the video will finally play to the end. Not sure why. In short, I wouldn't buy this again.
Excerpt: Good DVD writer and it is inexpensive. A little problem with the cable connection, but after jiggling the cable, the writer operated fine. Haven't tried the writer, but for the price I don't have any complaints.
Excerpt: When I first picked it up it felt very flimsy, then I remembered it's a $ burner. I checked to see if it worked and it did so I'm satisfied. I would suggest it to a friend if they just need a disposable burner, that's all I needed.
