Summary: I got this Blu-Ray burner with a discount, it was a fat shipment. It's very fast and easy to use. I had my own short film with one copy of Blu-ray version that i wanted to make more copy of it. First i used some Blu-ray movie maker softwares but didn't work well then i realized i made it complicated by using those softwares because after trying those and not getting good result all i did was open a folder on my desktop, drag and copy all the files from my blu-ray movie...
Summary: After looking around at other writers i decided on the pioneer as I have used them in the past and this one is just as good if not better than its predecessors. So far no issues with burning various media.
Summary: I needed a bluray writer for high quality slideshow output from Photodex Proshow and this unit received very good reviews. I didn't need the software to read bluray discs on my PC so saved a few pounds by opting for the OEM rather than the retail version. All you receive is the bare drive, so I had to source a couple of screws to secure it in the bay, and a SATA cable to provide power.
Summary: Don't buy this unless you actually have Blu ray software because this is poor if you don't as I found out I brought this thinking that windows could already run blu rays but they DONT so had to buy a £60 programme even though im very happy with the product right now it has cost me way more than I wanted it to.
Summary: Got the 208DBK from Amazon last year, I like the Pioneer brand and associate it with good quality products and value for money (I know not everyone's cup of tea) which I was happy with it just seemed a natural progression. easily fitted and easy to use along with ImgBurn (free duplication software). not encountered any blank disc issues as yet, with Data backup, been using single and dual layer Verbatim. all in all a a decent drive. I would highly recommend to anyone.
