Good drive, but it doesn't come with a working Blu-Ray player, and there are no free ones.

Summary: This is a good, reliable Blu-Ray drive, but the Nero software is worthless, I already had screws and cables, and I ultimately had to buy some Blu-Ray software and a DVI cable to play Blu-Rays with this. The Nero Software does include a program called Nero Blu-Ray Player, but it just doesn't work.
Summary: P.O.S. Dead on arrival. Since I've never changed out an optical drive, I thought I was doing something wrong. After many hours of trying to figure things out...i gave up. I decided to buy another drive, which ended up working great.
Pretty much the best bang for the buck I could ...

Summary: I wasn't sure which Blu-ray drive to purchase for the PC with so many of them out there so I turned to the reviews here to help me out. Pretty much the best bang for the buck I could find and I'm not disappointed at all!
Summary: it is bad dont waste your money, buy other brand
Cons: when opened the box and installed i notice the disc isnt spining so when i take the screws appart there were broken components inside, the problem is that i test it three month after purchase so couldnt return it
Summary: This drive does exactly what it is advertised to do - read Bluray discs. I was disappointed that I had to also buy software due to Sony keeping disc locked, but it was my own fault for not having researched the technology more to know I would have to buy software (or deal with trials).
Summary: It'll see very light use from me, these things are really almost an antiquity at this point. Glad it was cheap
Pros: It's quiet. It reads blurays, and burns dvds/cds I've only confirmed that it'll read all of the formats, haven't burned anything nor will I probably for a long, long time. It's the cheapest bluray player, hence my purchase and review
Summary: Should have read the reviews on this first, not tech savvy just want a bluray player in my computer, because I use it for my home entertainment connected to my tv and I hate wires all over the place, just made sense to me, why would you sell a bluray player that doesn't have the software to play...
they're great. Pioneer drives tend to last a long time

Summary: The drive itself works as expected. A little loud when reading a cd/dvd/br, but nothing ridiculous. Not much else to say about optical drives, as long as they work, they're great. Pioneer drives tend to last a long time, hopefully this drive is another shining example.
