Summary: Used it to replace the DVD drive that came with my aging HP laptop (together with an SSD and memory upgrade, my laptop should do me fine for another 2 years!). Easy to install, worked the first time with the only fiddling required on the bezel. There is advice elsewhere in this feedback list about how to replace the bezel. I followed it and it worked a charm.
Summary: Bought it to replace a dead blu ray player in laptop. Mine came with a black flat bezel. I took it off since I had to put the laptop's bezel on. I just plugged it in and the laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit) recognized the drive without any download. I have not tried burning yet, but reading discs works.

Summary: Purchased this for use in a Toshiba Qosmio X875-7190 laptop B00AY1FGYK This was simple! I wanted to have Blu-ray in the above laptop. Toshiba refused to work with me so I went with AMAZON! I replaced the original drive with this one also from amazon. I removed the drive and the face plate from the laptop. Then I removed the faceplate to the Blu-Ray drive added the Toshiba faceplate or bezel and placed it into the laptop. Let it do its hardware thing and done.
Summary: I'm very happy with the Blu-ray burner and it works perfectly. It was easy to install into my ASUS notebook, G74SX-BBK7. The original faceplate did transfer to the new burner without any problems.
Summary: Had to replace the DVD drive on an ASUS g75VW. This did the trick. You must remove the bezel and the back bracket from the old drive and place it on this drive. Took 3 minutes. Be very careful taking off the old bezel.
Summary: This was the cheapest option that I could find to upgrading my laptop. I have an Asus G73SJ and this drive fit perfect. I had to buy the software (Nero 12) to watch the Blu-rays and I have a 3D monitor on the way so hopefully it will work!
Summary: It burns and plays Blu-Rays like it is supposed to. I don't know what else to say. Fit in my Dell laptop easily, just had to change the faceplate with the Dell DVD drive. That was easy, just two plastic tabs.
Summary: I contacted Asus on whether or not they sold an internal optical drive which would read and write Blu-ray discs, and their response was that they only had an internal drive capable of reading Blu-ray discs. Based on another review here, where someone stated this drive worked in their Asus G75VW notebook, I took a chance that this would work in my G75VX.
Summary: I loved it fit perfect in my G75vw only thing is,you wont have a screwed in optical drive like the one that original came with the asus g75vw. Its pretty much plug and play. My version is the g75vw bbk5 from best buy. I slid the old one out and slipped this one right in. worked pefectly.
