Summary: for the price I bought it for ($124) this is such an epic drive. since i build computers for my self and friends i got this drive for my self and bam 3D everywhere! well i checked the the Power DVD suite it valid, i did not get a trial version. it comes with a product key on the disk so if your getting the trail version your doing it wrong. I recommend the drive for any computer builder, I wouldn't recommend this drive for any store bought computer though.
Summary: I purchased this unit back in January and I have not had so much as a hiccup. It's my first Blu-ray burner so I have nothing to compare it to as far as being "quiet" or "fast". No coasters yet! Giddyup!
Summary: This burner works good, it has some problems with coping the disk for backup reasons. I believe it is more the software safeguards on blu-ray vs an actual hardware problem. Overall it's a nice drive and I am not rich and powerful enough to purchase all the nonsense to watch the 3-D.
Summary: I like this bd burner very much. It works very well as other burners on this brand I had in the past. I could not understand why at bios post it wastes long time before booting on certain legacy computers. But, even on those computers, it works perfectly.
Summary: Has yet to be installed in my new computer but hopefully soon. :)Will post an update asap as to how it actually works. :) Update July 29th 2012. HAve it installed in my new gamming computer, since Feb 2012 works great as a blue ray burner, palyer, dvd combo burner all in one drive, have yet to burn a Blu Ray disk but is a slick drive when burning dvds, both single and dual layer, it runs a verification of data very efficently too. no problems as of yet. :) Great drive.
Summary: Works great, does what it should. Bluray drives reads cd's, dvd's, bluray's. i have not tried to burn blurays. Blanks @ 14.00 is too much money if its a bad burn, thats a 14.00 plastic coaster .....
