Summary: Title says it all. The drive itself works great, but I need a drive with the B firmware (which is what is advertised). Some older comments warn of receiving the wrong model, while the newer comments suggest this issue has been fixed: it hasn't.
Summary: after reading reviews, i was expecting a lite-on ihas124 b. this is not what i recieved. instead i recieved the lite-on ihas 124 w. which is not what i needed and this is now absolutly worthless to me.
Summary: I ordered this drive believing it would be a revision B as some other reviewer had mentioned. Instead I received a revision W, manufactured in April 2013 so it currently is not compatible with burnermax for those who are wondering. The drive does work well for burning DVDs and CDs, its just not the exact revision I was expecting.
Summary: I've really been happy with this optical drive since I got it. You all should know going in to it, as stated by others on here, that there is no data cable or power cable that comes with this drive, just the physical drive itself. However, it's not an expensive add-on, I bought the data cable for $3, and the power cable for the SATA drive should already be in your case, but if not it's another $3 for the power cable.
Summary: I got exactly what I ordered. I was hoping for a iHAS 124B. Instead I got a iHAS 124W. It appears to be a shot in the dark when buying these on what firmware you get. Only way to confirm a 124B is to pay the premium of a verified version. With the new payload tools it is not as required as once before. Only docked it one star because of my bad luck. If you are not interested in the Xbox360 Scene then this drive is a great DL burner.
Was stated to be a "B" version but received a "W" version.

Summary: Was stated to be a "B" version but received a "W" version instead. I needed the "B" version. Anyone looking for the "B" version for XGD3 games, steer clear. To be clear of a timeline, I ordered mine Sept 2013.
