The LG GSA-E60N is an external DVDRW (R DL)/ DVD-RAM drive that measures 6.3 x 2.0 x 9.1 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 3.3 pounds. It connects via Hi-Speed USB to computer systems using Microsoft’s Windows Vista, Windows XP (Home Edition, Professional Edition and Media Center Edition) as well as Windows 2000 Professional.

The GSA-E60N is equipped with a number of technologies including LightScribe and SecurDisc. LightScribe allows users to easily label their compatible discs without using stick-on labels. SecurDisc offers password protection, digital signatures, data integrity checks, data reliability, and copy protection.

The LG GSA-E60N, which has a tray-type media loader, can be used in both a horizontal or vertical orientation. It has a data buffer size of 2 megabytes and features buffer underrun protection.

This external DVDRW (R DL)/ DVD-RAM drive supports CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, DVD+R DL, and DVD-R DL media types. It offers a read speed of 48x for CDs and 16x for DVDs. It burns at speeds of 48x for CDs, 20x for DVD-Rs and DVD+Rs, and 10x for DVD+R DLs and DVD-R DLs. When rewriting, it offers speeds of 32x for CDs, 6x for DVD-RWs, 8x for DVD+RWs, and 12x for DVD-RAM.

It supports a number of recording modes including disc-at-once, track-at-once, session-at-once, packet writing, sequential write, random access write, restricted overwrite, and incremental recording.
