Summary: I bought this drive for £20.00 from PCW and assumed I would have troubles with it because of it being only £20.00 but have been pleasantly surprised. I have never had a problem with it, it's never not burned, not read or anything. I would buy these drives over and over again, highly recommended.
Summary: Is life really good when you buy an LG product? Well it was this time. Much like any other computer components, I often vouch for a specific brand. If you have been reading my reviews, these brands are Asus for motherboards, Seagate for hard drives, Samsung for optical drives. So it was a good buck in the trend when I opted for the LG. Bear in mind though that the price quoted is bizzarely over the top. This actually sells for around £20.
Summary: DVD drives are being used less and less nowadays but occasionally I need one to burn videos or copy a CD etc. I bought mine from Amazon.co.uk and for the price (£12.50) vs the features, this is the best one I could find. It is bare black and is an internal Sata drive. Mine didn't come with the Sata cable and screws so you will have to buy those separately or pull them out of an old PC. It is the standard DVD drive size and will fit into any 5.2 bay in your PC case.
Pros: Cheap price + Supports reading and writing to main DVD and CD formats, inc dual layer DVDs
