Summary: Although a bit loud when reading and the annoying Filmware updater that asks permission to run every time you log-on(can disable it) this Blu-Ray Burner is a solid plug-n-play device that has enough features for the average user. The price is a bit on the high side which could be due to the fact that most media is going digital and that the Blu-Ray looks to be dying because of such.
Summary: This is the second LG BD-Rom I have installed in my new Comp build. The other one is 14x and I love them both. LG IS quaility and they hit the mark once again with this series of rom drives. Don't know that I will ever use the M-Disk feature but it is there if I so choose. The 2D to 3D is nice and the ability to copy at high speed is a definite plus. Not sure if there is a limit to the cd types you can read and write with these drives.
Summary: I tested it with a lot of supports: never a fail, fantastic for CD, DVD and BD recording, very quiet in writing, it has been recognized by W7 in a flash. I'm very satisfied and it has a good "aestetic" design too.
Summary: Excellent piece of machinery! to bad it doesn't play blue ray store bought movies. Didn't quite fit in my Dell T3500 bay the door doesn't open and close right. A fraction of a hair smaller and I wouldn't have any problems. I do recommend this device, maybe not the software.
