Thanks to Buffalo for responding to earlier comments, but it still doesn't work

Pros: When it works with a disk, it is flawless. Great for backing up data.
Cons: This is in response to a Buffalo tech adding comments to my earlier post. Thanks for you response to my comments at Newegg. The only problem is I am using the software from your included disk but my Gateway, HP, IBM and Acer don't recognize a disk in the drive and therefore, neither does the Cybe...
Summary: Tried burning 16 GB to a BluRay disk that I received free with this drive and Nero estimated 32 HOURS! but then it failed about half way! Tried again and failed once more! Piece of Junk, stay away from USB BluRay burners. I'm guessing USB just can't handle the bandwidth needed.
Pros: Small, sleek design.
Cons: This thing is slower than floppy drive, and that's if it completes a burn without errors. Requires power supply to be plugged in to operate, so much for portability.
Summary: If you want it for data storage, this is a great drive. If you want to use it to watch movies, it is near useless and there is little to zero support on website.
Pros: When it works with a movie, it is flawless. Burning to both DVD and Blu-Ray was great.
Cons: 2/3's of the Blu-Ray movies I have tried to run in it to watch movies on my Acer W500 aren't even recognized as a disk by windows. No drivers from Buffalo, so you are stuck with the old Microsoft BR driver native to Windows 7.
Summary: A good purchase overall. My wife and I run a photography business, and those image files add up very quickly. This was a good storage solution at a reasonable price.
Pros: Burner works great. I've only used it for data storage, and its reasonably fast at that task. It takes up very little space as well, and could easily be put in a drawer when not in use.
Cons: One egg off for the software that it came with. There was no description of what all of the individual pieces of software were, and after installation I realized that I'd pretty much never use any of it. It was kind of a pain to uninstall as well, as I couldn't do it all at once, I had to do each...
