Excerpt: So what have we had recently, Windows Vista, 7? Due to me being a student I can't afford either, so I went with Windows XP; even now after having many opportunities to change OS's I have stuck with windows XP. Now I'm not one of those people that finds one thing and sticks with it forever, before XP I was using the windows 7 beta; it was good but it felt to much like "I'm pretty".
It's a good OS, faster than the other Windows OS' out there.

Excerpt: This is probably my favourite operating system, when Vista came out, i took an instant dislike to it, sure it had some cool features, but it was power hungry, it took twice the amount of RAM to run than XP did. 7 However boots up much faster than XP and Vista. XP is ideal for a lower powered PC, games that run on XP require 1/2 the RAM than the same game running on Vista. I.e A game running on XP would need 1GB of RAM and the same game running on Vista would need 2GB.
Excerpt: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition has always been the superior package. It has myriad features, and incredibly intuitive and simplistic graphical user interface, and many, many features to get the best out of your hardware. It is naturally the most compatible item on the market, with the vast majority of games and software still aiming themselves at Windows XP.
Best refurbished PC ever owned with excellent XP Professional capabilities

Excerpt: XP professional pre-installed package The PC I have is a refurbished Dell with XP professional installed I purchased from a computer clearance business on the Internet for £90! I bought this in December 2009 after much consideration as to the advantages of having a computer in my home, especially when my attempts at trying to book one in the library becomes an impossible task as they are always often reserved.
Excerpt: If anyones had any problems with this, its probably because they havent formatted their hard drive before installing it (or just old hardware). Windows XP is what we all wanted - a smooth operating system that never crashes which even dummies can use. Very, very good. Shame on Windows 98 users.
I would still recommend after all this time but wait until Windows 7

Excerpt: I've used Windows XP since forever and even though I have a Vista laptop I prefer to use XP over Vista any day. XP pro is probably the best XP OS generally because it has pretty much all of the features XP can have bar Windows Media Centre. I like XP because it is most like the original 95 layout and is not much different from previous releases; this is probably why XP is still the most popular OS amongst businesses.
