Excerpt: You'd think that a 7 year old operating system would not be popular today, but in the case of Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition you'd be wrong - according to the latest global figures from StatCounter - http://gs.statcounter.com/#os-ww-daily-20080701-20090811-bar - nearly 73% of people still use Microsoft Windows XP today!
Despite complaints, even after 8 years it's still running strong.

Excerpt: Love it or Hate it, XP is a bit of a legend in the computing world, I don't think there is any other technology that has been around for 8 years without a replacement that has superseded it entirely. It has its security flaws, it has its limitations, but, it gets the job done and is arguably better than it's supposed replacement, Windows Vista.
in all i think that xp is one of the best peices of software ever developed.

Excerpt: this is one of the best peices of software microsoft have ever put out as this is extremely reliable, user freindly, fast, effient and also it is alot safer than most of the operating systems microsoft have puplished over the years this even includes new software like windows vista which hasnt been a great success.
XP Is A Good OS Depending On Your Needs And The Spec PC You Have.

Excerpt: Well I have had many OS's in my time from 95,98,2000, the dreaded ME and a multitude of Linux Distro's, Solaris and Vista. But out of them all XP is my number one, granted crashes happen now and again and I have had to re-install XP numerous times, but it is stable when used well. my opinion was very different until I had used Vista for some months, Vista truly makes XP look amazing.
Excerpt: ***MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. [4/5]*** Well! i got this OS with my PC as it was included in the cost of the PC i just bought. This is one sexy OS to handle, its a honey dew smooth glide through its features. I earlier worked with the XP Home Edition OH GOD! that wuz one hell of a time. Any of my old softwares or games wouldn't work on the XP Home Ed & its security features weren't as diverse as the XP Pro.
Summary: In this review, I want to point out some stuff I found to be the most interesting about this version of Windows. Firstly, I would like to say that I have NEVER been a Windows believer, I have hated it ever since I first got to use it. The unresponsiveness, the horrible looking interface, the MS DOS background that was so noticeable, "Critical Stop"s that didn't seem have a reason... you get my point.
