Pros: Got this one for the free copy of windows 7. I've been using it since it came out. Only had the problems other people talk about when it first came out, after that it was working perfect. I have more problems with 7 hanging that I never did with vista. Speed is the same as 7 for my setup
Cons: It does need a lot of memory but I have 4 gigs so not so much for me
Summary: We also have a laptop with Vista32 and got a W7-32 upgrade. My wife has taken to using it with Vista and not up-grading to W-7. If I had to pay for W7 I would not have gotten it as for my uses I see no real difference between it and Vista. However both are much better than XP-32.
Pros: Works well, detects all RAM,looks good, seems quicker online than XP or W7. Came with up-grade. My wife likes the gadgets. I installed this on a XP 32 machine with no problems and switched to W7-64 when I got the up-grade, also installing with no problems. I don't know why Vista got the bad rap u...
Summary: This is first time I have purchased an OS and that too on the launch of operating system and I am very happy with it.
Pros: I purchased Vista with free upgrade to windows 7. I used the Vista on My desktop and used the upgrade on my Vista Laptop ! Hence this product offer helped me to upgrade two computers in USD 110 !
Pros: installed with out a hitch. ordered this to prepare for windows 7 up-grade. i received the up-grade disc and i am going to wait a while to install it because i am enjoying the vista system to much to change
Summary: Uses 650MB of RAM at startup vs. 202 with XP. running: AMD 5600+ 2.8Ghz Windsor core, 2GB of 800Mhz RAM, 750GB WD Scorpio HD (32MB cache), 8800GT 512MB, Asus dvd drive. Entire system rates 5.9 except the CPU is 5.3. Device Manager thinks both drives are SCSI, LOL.
Pros: After it is done updating, it works perfectly. Superfetch works better than XP's Prefetch does. Sidebar is fun. Installs and runs Folding @ Home in one go.
Cons: For some reason what is indicated as 90% signal strength/90% link quality of wireless signal in XP is 50/85 in Vista. The exact same adapter with its own driver disk used on both machines. Driver rated for both OS.
Summary: Think I will stay with Vista for awhile if you got the power to push it its a very good system..
Pros: I bought this for the purpose of getting Win 7.. I have been running 7 now for almost a week now, and I have to say I think I like vista better, in this past week I think I have gotten the dreaded blue screen 4 times and if you try to have more than 1 browser running it freezes up sometimes.. Aft...
