Summary: If you want Windows 8.1, buy the 8.1 media. If you want Windows 8, call a doctor and get some help.
Pros: Windows 8 installed flawlessly on the new build and runs pretty stable. No crashing on my sons new gaming rig.
Cons: For some reason we cannot get onto the "Windows Store" to get the update to 8.1. I thought I would save a few bucks and buy the Windows 8 Pro and do the update rather than buy the full up Windows 8.1. What a mistake.
Cons: Confused and frustrating package with a learning curve which takes me back 10 years. Huge staff training costs lack of performance improvement messy layout, constant scrolling, switching, screen changes and setups that suggest primary school assembly.
Cons: -Incompatibility with everything old -Crashes galore -Weak user interface -Difficult to change settings -The OS itself takes up too much processing power -Irritating strict "security" that blocks programs
