Windows 7

James W., Newegg
24 July 2014
  • Summary: Pricey, but this is way better than windows 8
  • Pros: Installed fast, way better then windows 8
  • Cons: The serial code is way to small could barley read it, can with a card board case for the price you would think it came with a plastic case

MicroS Customer Support is completely Deplorable

Jordan B., Newegg
9 July 2014
  • Pros: When my hard drive wasn't corrupt and crashing and finally died; it worked as well as an operating system could. Quick boot times, .net framework can be annoying with certain softwares compatibility issues
  • Cons: *******MICROSOFT ITSELF******

Great OS

Paul E., Newegg
20 June 2014
  • Pros: I built a killer PC last year (parts mostly came from Newegg) and I got this software through the college where I am a clinical instructor. It has been the most stable, seamless and useable OS I have ever used next to XP. I have worked with 8 and 8.1 and find them to be less than perfect for gaming and some productivity apps. I would highly recommend any of the Windows 7 products.
  • Cons: Now that 8 is out and Microsoft is pushing it so hard, I'm surprised that the cost of the 7 products hasn't fallen more.

XP to win 7 ultimate 32 bit

dan j., Newegg
19 May 2014
  • Summary: lower price might change my mind.... the 79 dollar offer elsewhere failed to run correctly. Newegg worked.
  • Pros: Average or better... an old xp got new life and had the horsepower to run the OS. Lots of updates but prefer
  • Cons: not all my PC's will get new life due to cost and age of PC.

Excellent Product

Daniel G., Newegg
13 May 2014
  • Summary: My Core i7 Computer Specs
  • Pros: Affordable
  • Cons: Repair feature didn't fix my installation by removing the Windows 7 Ultimate Recovered Option from selective start up. However, I can probably use BCD edit to currect this.

Stephan L., Newegg
10 May 2014
  • Pros: Fast delivery...fair price
  • Cons: The license key on the envelope is SO SMALL and obscured by the holographic image that it is NOT readable. I'm not kidding...this is STUPID. The software arrived yesterday, I had hoped to install but now I'm going to have to go buy a magnifying glass. I have perfect vision...this is a major pain in the rear.

Before 8

Garry M., Newegg
27 April 2014
  • Summary: I would prefer that Win8.1 have the same screen format at Start as Win7 Ult 64 so that I don't have to move out of the "tablet format" Win 8 uses.
  • Pros: One of the best OS that MS released. I find Win8 to be more awkward to use (even 8.1 Pro) and far more usable across all my apps.
  • Cons: Will probably be sunsetted in 2-3 years, just like XP.
