"Windows Operating System"

LincNeb, CNET
27 May 2011
  • Pros: The 64 bit version uses RAM amount greater than 3.5 gigabytes, if you're using the 64 bit version. It runs at a decent speed, perhaps not a resource hog. It's has gimmicks.
  • Cons: Incessant hard drive access. It will not run some of my favorite 32 bit programs, and of course forget any 16 bit ones. Expensive. No noticeable improvement over WindowsXP It should have included the virtual machine program and a copy WindowXP at no ext

Win7 32 not as smooth as I had hoped.

Jim Ackerson, MacMall
20 May 2010
  • Conclusion: Thanks to the store, Win7 32 had already been installed. Switching between Safari and Internet Explorer is not as smooth as I had hoped it would be. Some of the menu items are not there as in Vista or Win7. However, was able to find most with some searching. Mac approach to combining the 2 operating systems is very good. Definitely better than MacCharlie from years ago. Never will forget that attempt.

"SLOW, SLOWER, SLOWEST, AND BUGGY TOO"

Tess88, CNET
16 May 2010
  • Pros: Easy connectivity, nice wallpapers, and that's about all I can think of
  • Cons: Endless updates and endless restarts, cheesy Apple look-alike desktop, a buggy dock that needs to restart the computer if you want to change it's location, slow, slow updates, slow startup, power hungry. Email and other programs must be downloaded.
