Summary: WINDOWS definately still is the bset choice for hardcore gamers. Hard to find good&new games that is compatible for MAC & Linux. MAC is a great OS overall. But not recommended for gamers. The search feature is really really advance. Overall, a neat/nice improvement over the last MAC-OS.
Summary: $129 every year for something that has a 20-day upgrade policy? What a JOKE! QUITE obviously, Apple marketing and I do NOT earn our monies in the same company. On top of that rip-off, it obviously has bugs, as I have learned to expect from the company that somehow every year manages to churn out half-beaten butter for our Macintosh ego-bread. Well, don't know about you, I feel that one predator is quite enough in my household for at least two to three years.
Best parts are modest improvement, worst parts are dreadful

Summary: Having used personal computers for over 20 years, I'm fed up with the perpetual software upgrade treadmill. This upgrade is one I could do without, as the best parts of mildly interesting, and the worst parts are horrid. Apple has nicely improved the Preview application, and I'm sure I will benefit from the ability to search PDF text. The Finder change seems to hold promise, though it will takes months of usage to reveal the true story.
Summary: Mac OS X is great. No disputing that. Jaguar was a real step forward. I was glad to pay $130 for that. Panther... well, Apple claims 150 great new features... but there's really only a handful that are useful... and it's a little much for them to ask for $130 again just 1 year later. Great product, but not worth the cost.
Excerpt: I'm a Unix sysadmin, so when the Powers That Be told me that two G4s were turning up and I have to support them, I turned a whiter shade of pale. When they did arrive, however, installing them was an absolute breeze and after playing with the almost infeasibly pretty GUI, to my initial delight I found a small icon marked "Terminal". Could it be? Could Apple have finally provided a command-line interface?
Excerpt: I was a little disappointed with Mac OS X. It does have a very nice feel to it and everything follows through smoothly, if you know what I mean, it's got a good atmosphere to it. Although this is great I did find it seemed a lot more complicated to use than earlier Mac OS versions like 8.6 and 9.1. Of course it would take a little getting used to but overall everything is arranged in a much more awkward way.
Summary: Bonjour.
