Excerpt: Zombi U re-introduces survival as a key component of survival-horror, forcing you to decide between taking on the hoard or living to fight another day. Ever since then, my trigger finger has been itching to take on some zombies Wii U style. Now that the day of reckoning is here the question remains: is Zombi U a reason to keep surviving or would it be better off left to the undead?
Summary: ZombiU will be viewed through a very particular lens, one designed to scrutinize the Wii U's worth as a "hardcore" gaming system. One of the few original launch titles built to appeal to the lifelong gamer, many are going to judge its worth as a demonstration of the GamePad's functions and how they can make familiar experiences more engaging.
ZombiU is the end of the world done right (review)

Excerpt: That’s why no other third-party title to date feels so completely geared to Nintendo’s Wii U console quite like ZombiU (releasing Nov. 18 for the Wii U) does and why it couldn’t possibly land on any other system without sweeping changes. I’ve played a few Nintendo games that don’t feel as fully integrated into the Wii U’s abilities.
Pros: It’s bloody brutal The first game mechanic ZombiU teaches you is dying. It’s something you’ll do a lot, and the consequences that come with it drive all the decisions you make. That’s because every single “Infected” you meet constitutes a lethal threat. They’re scaled back from the one-hit-kill status they enjoyed during early demos, but it doesn’t take much more than that to finish you. And on death, you lose the scant supplies and resources you risked so much to fin...
Excerpt: ZombiU is easily one of the best games available for the new Nintendo Wii U console and best of all, it targets the adult gamer. This isn't a game to collect gold coins and play fair in some wondrous rainbow world but rather it's a survival horror that requires you to annihilate zombies in some truly hideous ways.
Extremely violent survival horror game flowing in blood.

Summary: Parents need to know that ZombiU is an extremely violent and gory survival horror game. Sure, it's over-the-top, but players can shoot, stab, blow up, and smash in the heads of zombies. Not only do they die (er, again) but they can be beaten or exploded into a bloody pulp. Enemies can be decapitated or dismembered. There are other gore-filled scenes in the movie sequences. Parents should also know there is strong profanity in the game.
Excerpt: Title: ZombiU Developer: Ubisoft Platform: Wii U Release Date: 30th November 2012 (EU) The concept of ZombiU is simple. You begin your quest for survival by fleeing into Shadwell station surrounded by undead hordes. From one moment to the next your thoughts should always remain on the single goal of staying alive. You are quickly introduced to a character called the Prepper.
Excerpt: Zombies are very much in vogue at the moment, so what better game to launch a console with than a zombie game? It’s precisely this that Ubisoft has done with ZombiU for Nintendo’s new Wii U console, though it’s a zombie game that does things a bit differently to modern day games featuring the undead. For starters it’s set in London, which in itself grants the game a refreshing flavour.
Conclusion: ZombiU is definitely not a game for everyone, mostly due to its unforgiving design and flat fiction. But few horror games really make you feel like you’re in a desperate struggle for survival, and few action games command all of your attention and precision to play. ZombiU manages both those things simultaneously, and the result feels fresh and interesting in all the right ways.
